Project: Execute a re-brand of Motherlove Kombucha

The brand
While the business was going through a transition, the goal was simple — for Motherlove Kombucha to be a leader in the space. What we noticed in the kombucha space is that a lot of people know kombucha is generally good for you and it’s expensive. Our approach was to let the Motherlove products and process to centre stage but implementing a clear bottle and clear label to showcase the product. Our product and flavour stories help educate consumers about the benefits of the products.
The design
The design is effective in its simplicity and allows the product to be the main focus. That was the goal. The “motherlove” wordmark is the consistent factor within the design, having the second line be replaceable with “kombucha”, “water kefir” and “ferments”.
The colour palette
The colour palette is loud, fun and playful. A lot of the ingredients involved with kombucha are colourful and that needed to be the main focus. We have associated Pantone colours with each flavour to help create a consistent message.
